Why has the sunshade been updated from one piece to two pieces?

There are several reasons for this upgrade. Firstly, a single piece sunshade lacked support in the middle, making it prone to collapsing. The new two-piece design features a steel wire support in the center, ensuring stability and preventing collapse.

Secondly, the installation of a magnetic attraction stone in the middle of a single piece sunshade made it susceptible to falling off, impacting the overall appearance of the car. With the new two-piece design, this issue is eliminated.

Furthermore, the large size of the one-piece sunshade caused uneven stress on the steel wire when unfolded multiple times, leading to deformation. By dividing the sunshade into two pieces, we have reinforced the steel wire's toughness, reduced the bearing area, and prevented deformation.

Additionally, the single-piece sunshade was challenging to install solo due to its size. The new two-piece package offers smaller volumes, making installation easier for one person.

The dual-port clip design enhances the firmness of the sunshades, preventing them from falling off while driving. Tailored specifically for Tesla Model Y, the sunshade has been tested numerous times to ensure a proper fit for all Tesla Y vehicles from 2020 to 2023.
